Just recently I noticed a trend. The trend, I noticed, was people visiting my dream website wanting to know the meaning of a "flat tire" in their dreams. Actually this is not the first time this has happened to me. Over the past fifteen years I've been interpreting dreams I have noticed trends, or similar messages that people were getting in their dreams. With this particular trend happening just after the holidays, I really wasn't surprised. In the universal dream language, the subconscious mind uses a car to symbolize the physical body. Therefore, if one has a flat tire, this means that the dreamer's physical body is not very mobile. Most likely, it is ill or very close to being so. When you consider that the holidays is a time of overeating of all kinds of goodies, then it makes sense that many dreamers would have a dream like this. When we overeat, especially sweets, the immune system is compromised and thus we have a greater chance of becoming ill. The subconscious mind is ever wise in picking up the abuse of the physical body, even it we are not consciously paying attention to our physical health. Most likely, there are quite a few dreamers having car dreams and having something wrong with their dream car around the holidays and winter months. I find that when I eat things that I normally wouldn't, I sometimes would have a dream where I couldn't remember where I parked my dream car. Yes, I had put my physical health on the back burner and had indulged! Many years ago I used to participate in weekend long "dream hotline" in which anyone could call a certain phone number and have their dreams interpreted. Over the course of the weekend, I might have interpreted a hundred dreams. And what I noticed is that there would be a certain types of dreams that people would call in wanting to have interpreted. One was the common dream of teeth falling out. In the universal dream language, food represents knowledge. So if your dream teeth are missing, this means you are unable to assimilate food (or knowledge). Basically, it means that the dreamer is not using the knowledge available to them. If we are not living up to our potential, most likely we will have this kind of dream. Our dreams is one of the things that binds us to one another. We all dream, even if we don't remember them. Our dreams point out to us that we are not all that different from one another. We all have common experiences as we go through life and we often view these experiences in a similar way. This is one of the reasons that we can interpret our dream on a universal level...we all have universal experiences. There is a saying that great minds think alike. We all have that ability whether we consider our mind to be "great" or not. Since we are all creating our lives through our thoughts, our dreams point out that we create our lives in a similar fashion on occasion, such as the flat tire dream. Our dreams exist to aid us in creating our lives on a productive level, if we are not doing so at that particular time. So the next time you and a friend have a similar dream, look at it seriously. What is the message the dream is communicating to you? It is no accident that you are having similar dreams, because, most likely, you think or direct your creative consciousness in a similar way. The collective consciousness of our dreams is always beckoning us to take notice. Be sure to use your dreams for all they're worth!
